Productive Patterns

Use these patterns to make verbs or verbal nouns humble when no dedicated kenjougo form exists.

o + (verb stem) + shimasu for native Japanese verbs (和語)

I will call you later.
I will carry your luggage.
I will take you this way.

go + (noun/suru verb) + shimasu for Sino-Japanese nouns or verbal nouns (漢語)

I will explain.
I will guide you.
I will contact you.
